Harborne Academy is an all-ability school in Edgbaston, Birmingham, serving 800 students in Years 7 to 11, including 200 post-16. The Academy has a four-form entry and is sponsored by Birmingham Metropolitan College working in close partnership with Birmingham City Council. It specialises in and Health and Sciences opened in September 2010.
The Academy will build on the strengths of its predecessor school, Harborne Hill, praised by Ofsted for the quality of its staff.
Teaching and Learning
The Academy will be a key part of Birmingham's transforming education programme and will deliver a wide range of qualifications and curriculum choices. Academic and vocational courses will be on offer to students and the full range of qualifications will be available.
